Though it has been a while, it was well worth the wait. The master craftsmen at JPS have provided yet another fine base. With all the neat 1/32 USN planes coming out, it was clear that we needed a base for these models. Well, here it is. This is a representation of a WWII/Korea era wooden flight deck. And not just a brand new, perfect one, but a deck that has seen some wear.

Now, here are a couple of photos I took of the raw base. As you can see by the close-up, things are not only superbly molded, but are not 'brand new'. The nice thing about solid resin foam bases is that you can have all that great detail and not have to worry about the bases warping!

Not only that, but they can be detailed and have all those great painting tricks done to them to make them look really spiffy. I was sent a few images of a base all tricked out and they are really super looking. I've reproduced them below so you can see just how superb these bases can look if done well.

As with all JPS carrier deck bases, it comes complete with a full set of instructions on how to paint the decks as well as a history of US WWII flight deck surfaces, colors and general markings.

Now I know that you are going to want one so I suggest you start hounding your local hobby shop to get them in for you. You can also visit them at their web site to see what other goodies you just can't do without!
