HOBBYCRAFT 1/48 GERMAN WW II BOMBERS KIT TABLE
Last update: 1 November 2005
Hi, I’m Tony Hodun, and this is table of 1/48 Hobbycraft German WW II bomber aircraft kit listings I’ve developed to aid you as a modeler or collector in finding the kit you want to build the version you want to, or to fill the gaps in your collection. Hobbycraft’s Dornier Do17, Junkers Ju88, and Arado Ar234 kit families are early kits that frankly don’t fit as well as some of their newer kits. Hasegawa has produced newly tooled Ar234s, and Dragon/DML/Pro Modeler have done nice Ju88A/C/Gs, so the Hobbycraft versions may be of more interest to the collector or modeler who doesn’t mind less detail and having to fix fit issues. However, the Do 17s are still the only game in town. Most of these kits are older issues with poor quality decals from Hobbycraft’s early days, a few reissues have excellent newer decals, and aftermarket decal sets have been done for almost all versions. If you have input or corrections, feel free to contact me at hodunmisinec@cinci.rr.com .
