Here we have a set of Misawa wingtip tanks and pylons for the CzechModel 1/32 F-80C. These are cast in resin and are devoid of any molding flaws such as air bubbles or resin detritus. The majority of the resin tank is a single piece so no long seam to fill. The setincludes two tanks, two tank tips, and a pair of wingtip pylons. These latter items are much more detailed that those molded on the kit tank and are deeper. The resin tanks themselves have somewhat better detailing than the plastic (a properly recessed filler cap, for instance) and are pre-drilled for the pylons. I did notice that the resin tanks have a different shape to the tail section that, looking at photos, seems more prototypical. It also has sharper nose piece than the kit tanks and has slightly different reinforcement placements. Both will be pretty much the same length but there is a visible difference between the two. One simply removes the resin pour stubs and then uses super glue or epoxy for assembly.
