A short time back, I bought a bagged Testors/Hawk 1/48 T-33. The kit was still sealed in the bag, but when I opened it, I discovered that someone at Testors had put in a P-51D canopy. Not very useful. I had considered sending the kit back, but it was part of a group of bagged kits and the postage would have been more than the purchase price of the kit. The other alternative was a vacuform replacement.

Fortunately, I was able to source this canopy set. While designed for the Hobbycraft kit, I am hoping that it will be good for the Testors offering as well. The Hawk kit is known for having a canopy that is too flat so perhaps this will be an improvement.  One thing I do not like about it is that the windscreen and canopy are separate items. I generally build my kits with the canopy closed and this does little more than make the build difficult in terms of getting things aligned. Fortunately, there are two in the package so hopefully my pessimism will be unfounded.
