This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the Academy 1/48 P-38 Lightning. This kit has also be reboxed by Eduard at a considerably higher SRP. The set includes both of the main landing gear and the nose gear. Includes are the nose gear retraction strut and the two main gear retraction struts as well. These latter items are on metal sprues to help prevent shipment damage. These are a direct replacement for the kit parts.

The gear is quite sturdy, and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them. As is the norm, some of the thin pieces may be a tad bent, but will straighten up quite easily.
