This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the new Airfix 1/72 Wellington I kit. The set includes new main landing gear legs with their large retraction strut assemblies and a tail gear/wheel piece. These are direct replacements for the kit parts and are nicely molded.
The benefit of metal gear for these types of planes is that one can easily open up the main gear to install the wheels and then simply press them closed again without the worry of snapping a plastic leg.
