This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the recent Academy 1/48 F-4B Phantom II, a kit I have not yet bought, but have seen and it looks to be quite nice. This set included the nose gear, nose gear retraction strut, main gear and main gear retraction struts. Should Academy release any other F-4 variants, this set will fit those as well for the Phantom II landing gear was unchanged through the entire production run. This set is a direct replacement for the one that comes in the kit.

The gear is quite sturdy, and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them. As is the norm, some of the thin pieces may be a tad bent, but will straighten up quite easily.
