This particular upgrade part is designed for the Italeri 1/48 Ar-196 floatplane. This is a kit that I've not seen built very often, but I know that one area that needs a bit of help is the cowling. This set is a replacement for the kit parts and consists of major bits. One is the cowling itself. There is a small ring that fits onto the kit engine and this includes a resin sprue with nine rods on it. These fit into the ring and the cowling then fits over that.

The set is very nicely cast and includes instructions on how to assemble the bits.
