Pavla has been adding new upgrade resin sets for recent release Airfix kits about as quickly as can be once they have been issued. This particular set is for the new Spitfire 22 and like other Pavla Spit sets, pretty much replaces the kit cockpit. The set includes a new floor, front and rear bulkheads, seat, armor plating, and door. The small bits include a crowbar, control column, the roll over piece for behind the seat, compass and rudder pedals. To install this seat the kit roll over bar and door will need to be cut out. Pavla's instructions offer complete views of what goes where, what needs to be removed and the colors things should be painted.

It is a well designed, well detailed and easy to install set. I used a similar set on a Spit II and found that it really added to the model. It is a perfect set for those wanting to try their first resin upgrade set. Overall, it is a very well done set for this new Roden kit and is quite welcome.
