Master Details has been producing figures for USAAF bombers over the last year or so and this one adds to that collection. Thanks to various Chinese manufacturers who have started producing these kits in 1/32 scale, the need to provide crew members has arisen for those who like crewed aircraft. So far, in terms of bomber crews, they have done a pilot, co-pilot, navigator, bombardier, waist gunner, radio operator and now a tail gunner.

This one is typical Master Details' work in that you are provided with the basic parts of the figure in resin and the rest in cast metal. In addition to the five part main body in resin, you also get four heads, these in cast pewter. Two are wearing O2 masks and two are not. Two have goggle lowered and two do not. Lots to choose from. There are additional pieces for a separate O2 mask, the little bulb that fits on the bottom, and the O2 line itself. A separate parachute pack is provided as the crew did not always wear these.

The casting on both the metal and resin parts is top notch and you'll find construction will be quite easy. A full set of illustrations is provided to assist with painting and assembling this one. A very nice addition, especially if you are going to build one of these big bombers.
