In the last year or so, I've been more and more a user of canopy masks. I seem to have increased difficulty finding canopy frame lines with Tamiya tape using my usual method of holding the canopy up to strong light.

So whenever I get ready to build a kit that has multiple frames in it, I seek out one of these sets. One difficulty is that with older kits, mask sets are more difficult to locate. I could order them direct, but Eduard's shipping costs are stupidly high.

This set is for the Revell 1/48 F-84E/G Thunderjet, which does have a considerable number of canopy frames for a jet. The set also includes wheel masks. Eduard wants you to paint the tire, put the mask around the wheel, mask the rest of the tire with liquid mask, and then paint the wheel. I generally paint the wheel and use the inner part of the mask to mask it before painting the tire. Either way works.

One thing this set does not take into consideration is that the entire area surrounding the canopy frames you just masked is painted while while the rest of the frame is whatever color the rest of the airframe might be. This means you will have to mask over this section again prior to painting.
