This is a drop tank for the F-15 Eagle. It is what is known as a WRM (War Reserve Material) tank and I can only assume that this is why there is no aerodynamic end fairing on the tank.
The tank is superbly molded with fine engraved and raised detail. The set includes the rear attachment and the pivot point mount that goes on the aircraft. A set of drawings taken from a maintenance manual is included to show how it all fits. Though the drawings have commentary on the F-4 mount, I don't think that is appropriate for this particular drop tank.
