Those of you who have bought the Hasegawa 1/72 F-18E/F have realized that the area that gives one the most fit issues are the intakes. Not saying that this upgrade set will be any less work, but since they are full intakes, they will definitely look better.
The work involved in using these is removing some plastic from the lower fuselage section to get the intakes to fit. You also need to shave off a bit from what's left to ensure proper placement of everything. This is not at all beyond the abilities of most modelers who are at the stage of using sets like this.
The resin castings are very good, though I did find a few air bubbles to deal with on the lower sections of the intakes. This area will be visible when finished so will need to be dealt with. Super glue is the main cement to use though you could also use epoxy if you are so inclined.
The set includes the first stage compressor faces for the IPMS judges to find with their minilights. Full instructions that include both drawings and photos are included to help you. Delivery is also fairly quick. I ordered these direct and they arrived within 10 days of ordering.
