For some reason, Trumpeter's research is sorely lacking and they have made
a major shape error with their 1/32 A-7E Corsair II. I have a feeling that
it is because they used the Monogram/Aurora 1/48 A-7E as a reference. The
result is that the intake is not the correct shape, being way too oval when
compared to the real deal.
To fix this error, Zactomodels has produced a resin correction set for the
intake. It consists of two pieces; an outer intake and a section of the
intake trunking that mates up with it. Using it is simple enough for many
and involves a bit of surgery to the kit intake trunking.
The casting is top notch and instructions are complete and easy to follow.
