This is the second 1/72 TBD-1 Devastator sheet  from Yellow Wings. The premise on this sheet is similar to the 1/48  provides codes for 12 aircraft, though the units covered are VT-5 from the Yorktown and VT-6 from the Enterprise. The sheet provides codes for all twelve of the section leaders with the two squadrons.  There are also enough other numbers to allow you to do other aircraft. Included are the fuselage bands, prop tip colors, and  a smaller sheet with squadron badges. Any wing stripes will have to be painted (or gleaned from another sheet) as will the forward cowling colors. The decals are superbly printed and the instructions are all one could ask for to enable the modeler to build a super Devastator.

A couple of things. 1/72 Devastator kits are not exactly falling off the shelves. This sheet is designed around the new Valom kit, but those of you with the Airfix version can use those as well as it appears the decals will fit without any problems. Secondly, you'll notice there are no insignia. This is to allow the maximum number of options on the sheet. You can find insignia on sheet 72-001.
