NOTES:

This sheet from Wolfpak decals has another nice mixture of subjects in it. There are seven options with some similar aircraft types. Most of these are fairly modern types. There are good kits of all these aircraft available so no trouble finding one.

First up is an OV-10A in the three color scheme worn by USMC types for a number of years. This VMO-2 aircraft is listed as being from MCAS New River in 1989. However, VMO-2 was actually stationed at MCAS Camp Pendleton and did their overseas deployment to Futenma Japan at the time so apparently the photo of the actual plane was taken at New River.

Next is an F-18E from VFA-27 assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan in 2017. Interestingly, CAG-5 was the USS Midway CAG for decades. This aircraft has the later ECS heat exchangers.

The other OV-10 is a D model and assigned to VMO-1 at MCAS New River in 1992.

The fourth option is an F-18F from VFA-94. This aircraft was assigned to the Theodore Roosevelt in 2018. Couple of items of interest. First is that during my USN career, the codes NA were only used for units that were not assigned to an air group. The second is that it is fairly unusual that a former non-Tomcat unit be transitioned to the F model F-18.

It is nice to see an SH-2F even if it is in greys. This is an HSL-31 aircraft based at Mayport, Fl in 1991.

An Su-34 from the Russian Air Force as operated during the Syrian civil war is next. Originally these planes were without the Russian insignia and Russian Air Force logos (trying to be sneaky). Then someone realized that only the Russians operated the Su-34 and no one was being fooled. The markings soon returned.

Finally, a Tu-22M3, also used during the Syrian civil war campaign in 2015.

I know I've said this before and I'll say it again. The instructions are the best in the business and you are provided with a list of kits and upgrade bits required. The decals are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop.

Thanks to WolfPak Decals for the review sample and the image of all the options as their cover sheets are too long for my scanner. Visit them at their web site and pick up yours.
