VF Decals 48-101: F-14D Tomcat

Units: VF-101

This is the first time I've heard of this decal maker. The sheet was bought with a number of other items as a package deal at a swap meet so I have no idea as to its retail price. The sheet contains four sets of markings for VF-101 F-14Ds from the March 2004 time frame. Two of these aircraft are show birds, used for doing flight demonstrations at various air shows. The other two are standard 'line' birds that would be used for pilot training. All are in the standard Tactical Paint Scheme of FS 35237, 36320 and 36375.

They all seem to sport shark mouths and the sheet provides sufficient markings to do two of the four aircraft; one show bird and one line bird. The decals are printed by MicroScale so you know that they are of good quality and will respond well to any setting solutions. The instructions are in full color with side and upper views provided.

It is a nice first sheet and thought I don't know if they've done others, it would be a shame if they haven't.
