Three Guys Replicas 48018; A-20J Havoc

Units: 410 BG, 342 Squadron

Scott Van Aken

Here is a very nice sheet for the last of the A-20s, the A-20J. This version combined all the updates of the earlier Havocs and introduced an single-piece clear nose section for the bombardier.

There are two planes on this sheet, both in OD over neutral grey. The first one is from the 646 BS/410th BG This one is named "Maxine" and resplendent with D-Day stripes on the aft fuselage. It also has a medium blue forward cowl section.

The second plane on the sheet is from 342 Sq, Free French Air Force in 1945. It is quite colorful with the large rudder striping and the red, white and blue roundels. It makes for something just a bit different from the norm when it comes to the A-20.

The decals are superbly printed. The instructions also give interesting background information, not only on the subjects of the sheet, but on late war A-20 camouflage colors as well.
