Probably the first thing you'll say when you see this sheet is 'cool'. Next you'll undoubtedly notice that these are the same markings as what comes in the kit. There is one big difference, you can use these, as the kit decals are doo-doo, to put it mildly.

The mean green machine is a bird attached to VMF-312 immediately post war at MCAS El Toro (now closed and probably a housing development by now). Most of the sheet is taken by the markings for this plane.

The other is a plane from an unknown Marine unit at MCAS Miramar in 1946. It is interesting to note that after being taken over by the Navy for about 50 years, Miramar has now become a Marine base again!

Anyway, either scheme will certainly brighten up your next F7F-3.
