AMT really created a storm when it brought out its A-20G Havoc several years ago. I know that I eagerly awaited the kit and when it finally arrived I started looking for aftermarket decals for it. Fortunately, Three Guys managed to bring out a sheet shortly after the release of the kit and so, liking nudie cuties on my bombers, I used the first scheme in the sheet. I only wish it was on the other side of the plane as this one is facing the wrong way on my WWII US Gunships shelf!

Anyway, the sheet is superb and covers four aircraft from three bomb groups. All are in Olive Drab over neutral grey.

The first two planes are from the 417th BG, the upper plane from the 674th "My Joy" and the other from the 675th BS "The Green Hornet". Main marking difference (other than nose art) is the tail colors; the 674th white and the 675th in blue. This group served in the southwest Pacific during the New Guinea campaign of 1944.

Next two are European theater aircraft, also from 1944, as you can see from the Invasion Stripes. The upper plane is from the 66BS/416 BG and is called "La France Libre". It has a very impressive tally of mission marks and a white rudder.

The lower aircraft, "Queen Julia" is from the 410th BG and carries their black and white striped rudder, which along with the invasion stripes, would make for a colorful aircraft.
