What! Not another Phantom sheet!!! My God, is there no end to them????

Uh, actually, I guess not. It seems that when I think I haven't got any more of them to review, some more pop up! Well, I'm only humanoid, you know. Anyway, I know that you all cannot get enough F-4 sheets to satisfy you.

This particular sheet is for grey (aka boring) painted Phantoms in the last years of their life with the ANG and USMC. There are enough common markings to do two of the three aircraft as long as the two aren't both the F-4S. That is because while there are the intake warnings for the nautical Phantoms, there are only enough of the right colored insignia for one. The other insignia is for the ANG bird. No suggested kit is given, however I think that you'll be pleased with the results with either the Fujimi or Hasegawa 1/72 Phantoms.

The first aircraft is the 160 TFS Alabama ANG F-4D. It is in Hill Grey II, and while you probably can use FS36440, I think that the underside color is something a bit different. Check your references. The sheet comes with the nose stripe, but good luck masking that off!

Next is a VMFA-312 F-4S in the lovely Tactical Paint Scheme (yawn). The scheme is totally devoid of any color at all and has a teeny-weeny nose number on the air conditioning intakes.

The VMFA-321 F-4S is almost as uninteresting. However, this is one that had a rather bluish upper surface color. Definitely non-standard and actually rather nice looking. The sheet recommends FS 36314 which is really too grey for my tastes.

Slime lights are provided for whichever scheme you choose. Overall a nice sheet so that you can add a grey F-4 to your collection.
