We go from a new Skyhawk sheet in 1/48 to a very old Skyhawk sheet in 1/72. Though not as well provided for as the Phantom or the Hornet, there have been quite a few sheets for the E/F Skyhawk produced over the decades, most of them by Microscale/Superscale. Interestingly, when one sees Skyhawk sheets in any scale, the three subjects of this sheet seem to be prominent. Not sure just what it is that makes them so popular as there are other very colorful subjects that have never seen a decal sheet.

All three of these are 'humpbacked' A-4Fs in light gull grey over white. There are common data markings for all three planes, though you'll have to find insignia from another source.

The first is the ever-popular 'Lady Jessie' from VA-164 on the USS Hancock. There were several Lady Jessies and I'm not sure which one this was.

Next is the CAG bird from VA-192. A very colorful Skyhawk and, like the next scheme, one that comes with the 1/48 Hasegawa Skyhawk.

Finally the VA-22 A-4F.

Any of these would look great on your Fujimi or ESCI 1/72 A-4E/F Skyhawk and would probably fit the older, but slightly larger Hasegawa kit. As with many other lower numbered Microscale sheets, finding this one may be quite a problem, but well worth it if successful.
