Phantom fans will enjoy this sheet if they can find it. It makes into several very nice and colorful models, all in the Light Gull Grey and White scheme. Some people call this the Circus period of Naval Aviation because of all the color provided. Kits are many and Hasegawa, Fujimi, Monogram, Airfix, ESCI and Italeri make kits that will be useable for some of these schemes.

First up is an F-4N from VMFA-531. As with the others in this sheet, the blue tail is provided as a decal. It is a good idea on all these to paint the vertical fin white prior to applying the fin decal.

Next up is another F-4N, this time from VF-151 aboard the USS Midway. The canopy frames are to be painted black on this one.

Finally, an F-4J from VMFA-232 with bicentennial markings on the nose and a fancy fin.

Your editor has used two of these schemes on kits back in the dim past. Here are some rather poor shots of the VF-151 aircraft, using the Fujimi F-4B/N kit and the VMFA-232 scheme using the Monogram F-4J.
