Superscale 48-937: P-47M Thunderbolt

Units: 62 FS/56 FG

Scott Van Aken

Like the previous sheet, this one covers some of the more interesting late war P-47s from the 56 FG. These are all painted in RAF Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey. Again, the undersides and the upper wing leading edges are in bare metal. Canopy frames are also in bare metal and all planes have yellow rudders and red cowling fronts. All of the camo schemes are slightly different and Superscale provides both left, right and upper views of the camo for each of the planes.

First up is 'Marion' with a nice cheesecake nose art.

Next is 'Teddy', flown by Michael Jackson :0)

Finally another super nose art (if you like that sort of thing). All planes have 13' Curtiss-Electric symmetrical props.

The recommended kits are by Hasegawa or Tamiya though I'm sure these would fit others.
