One of the few companies to do 1/48 B-17G sheets, this one from superscale covers two bare metal B-17Gs. Of course, your only choice of kits is the Monogram version.
First up is the 401 BS/91 BG's 'Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby', a rather famous B-17 and one that is now on display at Dover AFB. The only real color (aside from the nose art) is the OD anti-glare panels on the inside of the engine nacelles and in front of the cockpit.
A more colorful plane is 'Looky Looky' of the 490th BG. This one has all the OD parts of the previous plane with the large red areas on the fin tip and the red bands on the wings and stabilizers. Those will have to be painted on by the modeler.
Because of the size of things, there are only enough insignia for one plane, but not many of us built even one 1/48 B-17 let alone two or more.
