Superscale starts off this latest batch of new sheets with a favorite aircraft of many; the P-51D Mustang. These particular markings have been scaled to fit the Tamiya kit, but should work well on any of the others as there are not any really tricky decals to use. Both of these planes are natural metal overall, though that does not include the wings which were painted in aluminum lacquer. Both planes have remnants of D-Day stripes on the lower fuselage and OD anti-glare panels on the nose.

First is 'Sneebo' of the 79th FS. The nose of these planes need to be painted black prior to applying the large decal. The forward part of the spinner for 79th FG planes was left in natural metal.

For the 77th FS is 'June Nite' of Ernest Fiebelkorn, the 20FGs top ace with 11 victories. Frankly, the 20th FG has not been well represented in decals as they were pretty late to the theater and so did not have a chance to produce a lot of aces. The 77th FS had a white tip to the spinner and black wing/stabilizer stripes.

There are enough common markings and insignia to do one of the two planes on the sheet.
