Nothing like a nice F-4 sheet, even if it is for a version that is not well represented in 1/48. The only kit for a recce F-4 is the old Testors/Italeri version. While not a bad kit, it is not up to current standards and requires a lot of work, especially in the cockpit to be brought up to specs. You can get the Black Box nose and cockpit sets in resin to add to your Hasegawa F-4C, but you are looking at $40+ the Hasegawa kit, an expensive proposition. Why Hasegawa hasn't done an 'in the box' 1/48 RF-4 is a real mystery.

There are four aircraft on this sheet.

First is an RF-4B from VMCJ-2 in light gull grey over white. You'll need the wing and landing gear from an F-4B/N for this one.

Next is an RF-4C from the 363rd TRS in standard SEA camouflage

From the Kentucky ANG is this 153rd TRS RF-4, also in standard SEA camouflage.

Finaly from the 26th TRW, comes this aircraft from a recce meet in 1974. Same camo scheme as the previous two.

All have the older 'squared off' camera bay windows. Insignia will have to come from another source as only two are provided for the VMCJ-2 plane.
