Well, here is yet another F-4 Phantom decal sheet. What makes this one a bit different is that it is for early F-4s and for USMC aircraft.  This means pulling out the Hasegawa F-4B/N kit as there isn't another F-4B in this scale. It also means trying to find a decent interior for the kit as Hasegawa provides only a USAF interior and the rear cockpit is definitely different between the AF and Navy versions.

There are three subjects on this sheet. There are no insignia or 'Marines' with the sheet and only enough common markings for one aircraft.  All are in the light gull grey over white scheme.

First is for the MAG-32 commander. This aircraft has markings for both VMFA-251 and VMFA-312 on the tail. Both unit insignia are also on the rudder.

Next is a VMFA-323 F-4B. There are a number of bomb markings on the splitter plate for this Vietnam veteran. It also has an unpainted radome which is an earth brown color. I would imagine that the plane is also well worn!

Finally a VMFA-312 aircraft with a standard white radome as in the first example. The black checkerboard scheme is quite attractive and makes for a very nice model.

Any of the three schemes will look good on your F-4B model.
