Superscale 72-897: P-47D Thunderbolts

Units: See Review

Scott Van Aken

Seems we are never at a loss for Thunderbolt schemes and here are two more from the big scale sheets that have been reduced for those who are into 1/72 Scale. Scaled for the Tamiya kit, I'm sure these can be made to fit others.  Both are in unpainted metal with Black anti-glare panels.

First up is 'Big Ass Bird' from the 513 FS/406 FG. This popular scheme includes all the red bits except for those on the very front of the cowling. Those will have to be painted. The lower fuselage invasion stripes are included on the sheet.

Second is 'Coffey's Pot' of the 388 FS/356 FG, this one has a black nose and full invasion stripes. The ones for the fusealge are included, but the wing stripes will have to be painted. ID stripes for the tail are included.

The sheet includes insignia for both and data for one.

The end result will be a most impressive aircraft.
