This final new 1/72 sheet includes yet another pair of nice F-18F Super Hornets for your Hasegawa kit.

The first is the Squadron CO's plane and the one used for the 2005 Paris Air Show from VFA-11. It includes a dark blue canopy surround area and red markings on the fin, both of which will need painted. I used this scheme recently from their 1/48 sheet and was quite pleased with the resulting model, as you can see below

The other is from the East Coast training squadron, VFA-106. It is a standard line jet aside from the full color insignia and red intake warning stripes. This drawing shows the outer fin to be painted the underside color. I've seen the photos from which this was derived and frankly, I can't tell if it is lighter than the standard upper color or not as the colors are very close. Your call on this one.

Data and insignia are supplied for both aircraft, but you'll have to use the kit insignia as on my sample sheet both of them had the red bars out of register. These sheets are printed by Microscale and why they have trouble with the red bars on the small insignia is beyond me.
