This next new sheet is for the new Trumpeter 1/48 F-100C Super Sabre kit. The C model wasn't as widely used as the later D variant, but did see a considerable amount of service with the Day Fighter squadrons.

The sheet provided markings for two nearly identical aircraft with the 450 FDW based at Foster AFB in Texas. This base closed in 1959. For those wondering where in Texas this was located. Here is a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foster_AFB

You can either build the wing commander's plane with the colorful fuselage stripe or a standard plane from the 721 FDS. The CO's bird is unpainted aluminum while the 721st plane is painted aluminum lacquer. A minor thing, but the Wiki article states that the F-110C didn't arrive until early 1955, not 1954 as shown on the sheet.

This sheet includes full data markings and insignia to do one of the two options. The wing and stab tips are painted red and Superscale provided the white trim decals to go on the inside of these markings.

Cartograf is now Superscale's default printer and the sheet is superbly done.  The full color instructions provide an exact placement guide for you.
