A new release from Superscale is this sheet on F6F-5 Hellcats. As with the last Hellcat sheet,  only the Hobby Boss and Eduard kits are recommended. I'm sure these markings will fit the Hasegawa kit equally as well. Probably the Otaki version too. All three aircraft are in overall sea blue.

A really nice thing about this particular set is that all the planes are decked out in the geometric patterns that were in vogue for nearly a year in 1944/45.

The initial offering is LtCdr Robert Weatherup's plane from VF-46 aboard the USS Independence in 1945. A nice checkerboard pattern for this one.

An ace's plane is next with 'Death n Destruction from VF-83 aboard the USS Essex in 1945. This was flown by three different ensigns; Donald McPherson, Bill Kingston Jr, and Lyttleton Ward.

Finally, yet another aces place, this from VF-29 aboard the USS Cabot. It was flow by Ens Robert E. Murray. All of the geometric markings are supplied as a decal so no additional paining is needed.

Cartograf is now Superscale's default printer and the sheet is superbly done. There are insignia for one and a full set of data markings are provided. The instructions provide an exact placement guide for you.
