Starting a new round of decal sheets, Superscale begins with this nice one for the Razorback P-47D. Recommended kit is by Tamiya, but one would think that with a bit of fudging, most of the markings would work well on others. All these planes are from the 58th FG. On all the options, the builder will need to paint the area behind the nose art.

First up is an unpainted metal plane from the 311th as flown by Art Marston. Standard unit markings with the pin up on the left side of the cowling and a blue stripe on the right side.

In OD with a yellow cowling and red/bare metal cowl flaps is 'The Pied Piper'. This P-47D was flown by G. Cipipen of the 310 FS. A white tail was part of the camo.

Finally, we have 'Sleepy Time Gal' as flown by Herbert Emrich. This 69 FS Thunderbolt had an unpainted metal lower cowling, white tail and a yellow surround to the sliding part of the canopy.

Cartograf is now Superscale's default printer and the sheet is superbly done. There are insignia and data markings for one aircraft.
