I'm not sure how many of you have ever visited the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC, but if you do, you'll see a mural of this aircraft  on one of its bombing missions painted on the wall of the WW.II gallery. 'Thunderbird' is renown for having completed 112 missions during its service life and never having had a single crewman injured. Quite a remarkable record. 'Thunderbird is a somewhat early B-17G (a -25) so is in OD over Neutral Grey. The de-icer boot on the fin has been removed showing bare metal underneath. The drawing shows a Cheyenne tail turret, but I'm not positive if this was actually carried by this aircraft or not.

The sheet itself is complete with all the needed markings for the aircraft as well as insignia so you don't have to scrounge for or buy an additional decal sheet.
