There is a thought in some sections of the modeling world that thinks that you really cannot have too many Phantom decals and I'm one of those who has to agree to that thought. Dug out of the dusty bins is this sheet from 30 years gone by on USN F-4J Phantom IIs. This sheet was produced about the same time that the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4J first hit the market so was quite timely in that respect. It covers two aircraft, both in the light gull grey over white livery that so many of us like.

First is from VF-92 aboard the USS Constellation. This aircraft is from the 'Silver Kings' squadron. This unit ceased to exist once it disestablished in the the 1970s.

The other aircraft is from VF-33 aboard the USS Independence. Like VF-92, it is no longer extant, but at least it did last long enough to transition to the F-14 Tomcat.

As is was the norm with Superscale in those years, there are no insignia with the sheet and though there are data markings for both planes, some of the other markings will have to come from the kit sheet if you want to do both subjects.
