More really nice Pacific Mustangs on this sheet. This time it is the green-stripe tailed aircraft from the 457 FS. This unit is still extant and flying F-16C block 30 aircraft from Fort Worth JRB. For this sheet, the recommended kit is the Tamiya version. The markings may fit other D model P-51s, but could be either too large or too small depending on the kit. With markings as complex as these, perhaps it is a good idea to go with what's recommended. The green stripes fit the full tail aside from the control surfaces, which are in aluminum lacquer.

The two options are 'Kwitcherbitchin' and 'Nip Nocker'. Neither one are planes of aces as these guys didn't get as much opportunity in their short war existence to build up much of a score. These planes also have a few antenna differences. One is the twin IFF antennas on the upper fuselage. The other is a lower antenna between the wheel well openings. No kit provides these so you'll have to make them.

A full set of stripes, insignia and data markings are provided for one aircraft.
