If you are tired of seeing the same subjects when it comes to models, then this is a sheet for you. Designed for the Tamiya P-47s, I'm sure that a bit of trimming will allow these markings to be used on other kits. Apparently Bomber units used war weary fighters to help in getting formations in line before sending them off on their missions. These planes often had the guns removed and flew without pylons so a bit of filler will be needed for these.

First up is a P-47D-22 of Hq Flight, 1st combat Bomb Wing. This plane is in OD over Neutral Grey with wing tips and stabilizers in red. The fin was also in red and this is supplied as a decal. Might want to paint the area below this with white so it isn't darker than the other red bits.

The other is a P-47C-5 from the 453rd BW. This one is in unpainted metal with a red forward cowl and prop hub. The tai marking is a decal so no worries there. The cowl flap area will need modified to backdate the kit to a C model.

There is enough insignia and basic markings for one option.  Superscale provides a nicely detailed markings guide for these.
