Now for something a bit larger, though still USN. This time it is what appears to be a standard bird from VS-21, based in Japan aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. This aircraft has all of its markings in greyscale without any color to be seen. The aircraft itself is overall FS 36320 with the anti-glare panel and canopy surround in FS 36237. The only kit around was originally by ESCI and has since been reboxed by AMT and Italeri. It is an S-3A as there are no dedicated S-3B kits in any scale.

The sheet includes full stencils and the sheet provides an excellent placement guide. I should also mention that the kit's drop tanks are the wrong size, but most won't notice it unless you tell them!
