The 357th FG has to be the most widely covered USAAF group when it comes to decal sheets. I'd be surprised if there have been less than 50 sheets on the subject. It is understandable, though, as they carried some of the most interesting nose art along with the red and yellow nose markings. This sheet is no exception and has two schemes for planes painted in RAF Dark Green over RAF Medium Sea Grey. As with a lot of sheets, the Tamiya kit is recommended but you could undoubtedly use these on a Hasegawa or other P-51D though the fit may not be as precise.

First up is "Gash Hound" of Lt Peter Peilon of the 363rd FS. It is pretty standard with no additional coloring.

The other is "Little Joe", of Lt Joe Cannon, from the 362nd FS. This aircraft has an unpainted metal windscreen frame and no exhaust shrouds. It also has the 'greyed out' insignia on the fuselage.

The sheet includes insignia for both and data for one. A superb placement guide is part of the instruction sheet. Though tailplane stripes are provided, there is no indication on the instructions that they are to be used.
