Here are
two nice F-16C options. One is a -30 'big mouth' GE engined aircraft and
the other is a 'small mouth' P&W engined plane. Both are in the simplified
scheme of two greys so that will make painting a bit easier. The
recommended kit is by Hasegawa and they do both variants. There are also
aftermarket bits available in case you can't find the version you want to
do.
First up is a MiG killer marked as the boss bird of the 162 FS, Ohio ANG. This plane achieved its success as part of Northern Watch and shot down an Iraqi MiG-23.
The other is from the 194 FS/144 FW of the California ANG. This is the 'small mouth' option. For those of you wanting to do an earlier F-16A/ADF, you can use these tail markings as they are the same as used on the earlier aircraft.
The sheet includes insignia for both and data markings/stencils for one. I should mention that after repaint, most of these data markings were not reapplied so check photos for you specific aircraft.
