How about a pair of USMC Corsairs? This sheet has two of them , both -1D variants. In this case, one would choose the very nice Tamiya F4U-1D and paint them both in overall gloss sea blue for the main color.

The first one is from VMF-213 aboard the USS Saidor in 1945. It has a completely white tail section with this color on the top of the right and bottom of the left wing tip. White stripes are carried there and on the back of the fuselage as well.

The other is from VMF-351 aboard the USS Cape Glouchester during 1945. It has a large white area on the back of the aircraft with yellow stripes on the fuselage and the right wing tip. The tip also gets a white stripe. All the stripes are provided as decals, though you'll have to paint the large white segments.

Insignia for both and data markings for one are also provided.
