Time for another F-102A sheet, and this one is for an aircraft of the 16 FIS based in Naha, Okinawa during the late 50's/early 60s. As with most F-102s, this one is painted in overall FS 16473 ADC Grey. It also appears to have the IR seeker on the nose in front of the windscreen. This aircraft has blue wing fences that need to be painted to match the tail stripe.

The sheet includes a full stencil suite and a super markings placement guide will help in putting these on. The only kit out there is the Revell/Monogram version and this kit requires the most recent boxing with the Case X wings. There were two different wings for the 102; the 'Case X' (10) and 'Case XX' (20) wings. Basically, the Case XX wing had a very noticeable curved down wing leading edge and wing tip. This later wing was installed on all F-102s starting with serial number 56-1317 (often shown on the tail as 61317). It was NOT retrofitted to earlier aircraft. If you want the Case XX wing, you need the original issue Monogram kit as the ProModeler kit and the most recent issue have the Case X wing.
