Apparently Starfighter Decals has decided to do a few racing car decals, for hot on the heels of its GT-40 MkII sheet, we have one for the Sebring winning Mk IV. The Mk.IV was a major redesign of the car and was raced in only two races during the 1967 season, winning them both. In fact, the 1967 LeMans was the only time an American built car with American drivers and American tires has won the race. Previous and following GT-40s were built in the UK.  One Mk IV was converted to an unsuccessful Can Am car and the others were either destroyed or placed in museums.

This sheet represents the #1 car from the Sebring race. These were the days before the cars were festooned with sponsor decals so the scheme is fairly clean. There have not been many kits for this car in 1/24 or 1/25 scale and if one cannot find the IMC, Testors, Union, or MPC plastic kits then one will have to search out those from various resin kit makers.

Decals are nicely printed and you are provided with notes on the proper color and other info in the instructions.
