This is the second sheet on recce Spits and  covers late Merlin and some Griffon powered aircraft. There are ten schemes and I'd like to tell you about them, but the inside of my instructions are for sheet 72131.

One commentary I can make is in regard to the USAAF insignia. Now I don't know if the photos show them painted in such a manner, but to my eyes, the blue border around the white bars is way too thin. There should also be a blue border around the star itself and that seems to be missing. It could be that the early 1943 markings were field updated in late 1943 and that would account for their not being up to standards, but again, I don't know as I have no photo references for the aircraft in question.
