For their last new sheet, LPS Hobby has chosen to do aircraft of the Tuskeegee Airmen. These were all in unpainted metal with olive drab anti-glare panels, red spinners and red tail sections. The Tamiya kit is recommended for the P-51D and for the P-51Cs, Academy is the choice. Does not mean you cannot use other kits for the majority of markings should fit just fine, though the sheet is designed for the kits mentioned.

All three squadrons in the group are represented and the only way to really tell is by either the aircraft number or the color of the trim tabs which were in squadron color.

The initial option is 'Dearly Beloved' from the 100 FS with its black tabs. This one has red trim on the canopy and  on the wing tips as well, The nose is also red with a flash, and that is included in the sheet.

Next is 'Janice' from the 302 FS and has yellow tabs. This aircraft will need the forward nose painted red. Like the other two options, this aircraft has yellow bands around the wings which will need to be painted on.

The third option is 'Apache II' with the 99th FS. The name may have been in black and that is included. This aircraft has dark blue tabs. The plane also has additional yellow wing bands out near the wing tips.

The decals are superbly printed by Microscale. Full color instructions are provided and give you information on some of the little differences between the planes where appropriate. There are enough common markings to do one aircraft, but you can easily find insignia from various sources. A very comprehensive data placement guide is also included.
