Every new LifeLike decal set is a real treat and this one is no exception. Long overdue for B-25 modelers is this sheet that covers somewhere other than the SWPA.
Option 1 is a B-25J, 'Problem Child', assigned to the 82 BS/ 12 BG. This OD over Neutral Grey plane was based in Fenny, India during March 1945.
Second is an unpainted metal plane from the 381 BS/310 BG. This aircraft was based in Corsica during April 1945. It is named 'Form 1A/Arabella'.
Based at Pompeii, Italy in March 1944, This B-25C was with the 487 BS/340 BG. 'Rosie' was damaged during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Originally painted in desert sand uppers, it was repainted in OD/field drab upper surfaces leaving the window frames in sand. A custom tail gun position was also added.
Finally, 'Baby Blue Eyes' with the 446 BS/321 FG based in Corsica during late 1944. The sheet provides four options for this B-25J as it underwent changes during the period covered. A self-sticking paper mask is provided for this option.
Lifelike's research is second to none and a lot of information on each plane is provided so be sure to read it. The decals themselves are superbly printed by Microscale so will work with your standard setting solutions. When it comes to kits, the Airfix B-25C/D and Hasegawa B-25J are recommended. I guess you could use the Italeri kit for the early Mitchell as well, but these are designed for the Airfix offering.
This is a great sheet and one thing I can tell you is the LifeLike sheets tend to sell out rather quickly
