Due to high demand, Leading Edge has brought back a favorite sheet and updated it with new info as well. This sheet is for the Canadian C-119G Boxcar and includes a resin nose that fits over the existing kit nose. Now most of you are well aware that there were not many C-119 models built. In fact, Italeri and Aurora were the only two that I know of who produced this model. The Aurora one is quite difficult to find and really is only for collectors any way. The Italeri version, however, is still around and though not cheap, is the one most will use.

You may also be aware that that there was more than one boxing of this kit. Besides the standard transport, the AC-119K gunship was produced. If you use the AC-119K kit, you'll have to do some extra window filling and that is clearly noted in the instruction sheet.

Anyway, only two squadrons flew these planes and that was 435/436 sq. Markings are given for three planes, and any differences in the planes is noted in the instructions. Typical of Leading Edge instruction sheets, they are most complete and provide all info and any possible modifications that might be needed. You can also trim the aircraft in either red or day-glo red, which every you choose.

The resin nose that is included is well cast and should provide no problems in fitting. There is a touch of clean up needed on the ends and despite good packaging, mine arrived a touch 'bent' on the very thin tips. Nothing major that can't be fixed. There are also indentations on the nose for the pitot tubes that will need to be fabricated. It is designed to fit over the existing kit nose with no cutting or hacking of the kit.

As usual, an excellent sheet  and choice of subjects. I'm sure this one will sell out as quickly as the earlier sheet did.
