The latest from one of the world's premier decal companies; Leading Edge, is this sheet for a 60th Anniversary of 416 Sq aircraft. This particular sheet shows the plane as it was in September of 2001. It is in the standard CAF scheme of 35237 over 36375. The outside of the fins are to be painted black prior to decal application. LEM also provides the false canopy for the underside of the nose as well as the protective tape for the wing leading edges. An interesting difference on this aircraft is that the starboard aileron is reverse painted. Apparently the ailerons are interchangeable and so one painted for the port side was installed on the starboard. Makes for some interest. A full stencil suite and outstanding markings placement guide is provided so that this will be a real beauty when done.

Leading Edge does not offer a specific model for this sheet, but the vast majority of builders will use the current Hasegawa kit as their #1 option in both scales. For those building in 1/48, the Monogram F-18 should work well as an alternative. The 1/48 sheet is shown with a 1/72 sheet also being available.
