Leading Edge Sheet 48-17
F-4G Phantom

The F-4G Wild Weasel was the last version of the Phantom to see squadron use with the USAF. In 1993, the 190FS of the Idaho ANG was the last user of the F-4. Many veterans of Northern and Southern Watch around Iraq were flown off to the bone yard on that day in 1996, marking an end of Phantom use with the Armed Forces of the United States.

Since 1961 when the F-4B entered regular squadron service with VF-74, the Phantom has been a common sight around the United States and in countries around the world.  Now relegated to Drones in the US, only Japan, Germany, Israel, Turkey, Greece and Spain still fly the F-4 with any regularity.

This decal sheet is for several Weasels of the 190FS including the last one to leave the unit. It was commemorated with special markings on the spine. This particular aircraft was converted to QF-4G and expended early in 1998.

Leading Edge provide all you need for one of the three aircraft on the sheet. Included are a full color diagram in addition to the regular black and white placement sheet. Beautifully done with perfect registration, this sheet is recommended to all.
