This is a welcome reissue from Leading Edge decals. It covers the Mk.6 Sabre that was assigned to 1 Wing, which was based in France during 1955/56. The aircraft were painted in Dark Sea Grey and Dark Green over PRU Blue with a black nose anti-glare panel.

One thing that distinguishes the Canadian Mk.6 Sabre are a pair of 'sugar scoop' intakes just aft of the wing. There are few kits that offer this feature so you may need to find aftermarket parts or scratch-build these items. Note also that these planes had slatted 6-3 wings, again, something that is fairly rare in the modeling world.

You are provided markings for 6 aircraft with sufficient insignia for one. Also provided is a large stencil sheet for one aircraft. Instructions provide a full placement guide. In addition, there is information to allow the builder to use a longer wing F-86F-40 and how to shorten the wing to that of the Mk.6.

In all, it is a very worthwhile sheet for the Sabre fan and well worth picking up.
